Called "The T" by students because of its shape, Welsh Hall is one of the newer residence halls on campus. It is made up of a mix of suite-style doubles and on-campus apartments and can house up to 185 students. The building is located across from Heubeck Hall and adjacent to Stimson Hall and the Athenaeum giving easy accessibility to dining and library services. The Great Lawn spans the distance between Welsh and the Athenaeum, giving a great open green space for all sorts of activities, be it a game of ultimate frisbee or lounging out in the sun. In addition, the space houses a community garden maintained by students living on campus.

Welsh is also home to the Language House which is located on the second floor. The Language House is a living and learning community that provides students with the opportunity to foster their learning of foreign languages and culture.

    • Welsh Hall has a convenient entrance right off "Van Meter Highway."

    • The bluestone enclosure out front is a very spacious community area complete with grand piano, often used for club and hall meetings.
